20-Feb-2021 Berger paints, Dhunseri to invest Rs 500 crore at Panagarh industrial park <P align=justify>Berger paints India and Kolkata-based Dhunseri Group are looking at investing around Rs 500 crore at Panagarh industrial park near the industrial township of Durgapur and already sought land for their respective projects. Berger paints India major is contemplating to invest around Rs 100 crore to manufacture construction chemicals and putty.&nbsp; Dhunseri Ventures plans to set up a packaging material unit primarily for food processing, cosmetics, personal care and pharmaceuticals industries at an estimated cost of Rs 400 crore.<P align=justify>Berger has received in-principle approval for 22 acres of land from West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation while Dhunseri Ventures, formerly known as Dhunseri Petrochem which is into petrochemicals business, sought 38 acres in the industrial park.<P align=justify>Berger paints India is the second largest paint company in India.<P align=justify>

06-Nov-2020 Berger Paints reports 13% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit <p align="justify">Berger Paints India has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2020.<p align="justify">The company has reported a rise of 10.53% in its net profit at Rs 192.72 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net profit of Rs 174.36 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 7.47% at Rs 1549.75 crore for Q2FY21 as compared Rs 1441.97 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.<p align="justify">On the consolidated basis, the company has reported rise of 13.31% in its net profit attributed to owners at Rs 220.94&nbsp; crore for the quarter under review as compared to net profit of Rs 194.98 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 9.38% at Rs 1765.73 crore for Q2FY21 as compared Rs 1614.31 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.</p>

Total income of the company decreased by 47.98% at Rs 833.20 crore for Q1FY21 as compared Rs 1,601.59 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.<p align="justify">On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a fall of 91.28% in its net profit attributed to shareholders at Rs 15.42 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 176.76 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. They have associated with various suppliers of the hospital furniture industry and are currently supplying the product in the states of Odisha, Telengana, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.</DIV><DIV align=justify>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV align=justify>This innovative product has been tested at an UK based lab and provides an extra shield against the spread of harmful bacteria and microbes. The antimicrobial powder coating works on the platform of active silver ions technology that inhibits bacterial and microbial spread through a mechanism of constant controlled release of silver ions and remains active for years.
