04-Apr-2020 Moody's downgrades AXIS Bank's outlook to negative <P align=justify>The credit rating agency -- Moody's Investors Service has revised the outlook for AXIS Bank from stable to negative. Further, it has downgraded the counterparty risk assessments of the Bank to Baa3(cr)/P-3(cr) from Baa2(cr)/P-2(cr), and the local currency counterparty risk rating of the Bank to Baa3/P-3 from Baa2/P-2.<P align=justify>Axis Bank is the third largest private sector bank in India. 18-Mar-2020 Axis Bank reviews MCLRs <p align="justify">Axis Bank has reviewed its marginal cost of funds-based lending rate (MCLR) across tenors with effective from March 18, 2020. The bank has reviewed one-year MCLR&nbsp;at 8.10%.<br></p><p align="justify">The bank has reviewed overnight, one-month, three-month and six-month MCLRs at 7.75%, 7.75%, 7.95% and 8.05%, respectively. Also, two-year and three-year MCLRs has been reviewed at 8.20% and 8.25%, respectively. These rates will be valid till the next review.<br></p><p align="justify">Axis Bank is the third largest private sector bank in India. 16-Mar-2020 Axis Bank gets nod to invest Rs 600 crore in Yes Bank <p align="justify">Axis Bank's board has accorded approval to invest a sum of up to Rs 600 crore for acquiring up to 60 crore equity shares of Rs 2 each of Yes Bank, for cash, at a premium of Rs 8 per equity share, under the proposed Scheme of Reconstruction of Yes Bank under the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. This has offered an annual interest rate of 6.5 per cent, as per the document presented by the civic administration to the BMC's standing committee. <br></p><p align="justify">The document indicates that the FD amount invested by the BMC in the Axis Bank is the lowest among all its investments made in nine banks.
