JPL is a joint venture between Power Grid and Jaiprakash Power Ventures. Post acquisition of the 74 percent stake, JPL would become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Grid. The acquisition would be completed within the current fiscal year. The proposal for the acquisition was approved by the board of Power Grid in a meeting on February 11, 2021.</p><p align="justify"><strong>CEAT</strong> has roped in actor Rana Daggubati as its brand ambassador for promoting the 'Puncture Safe' range of bike tyres. As part of an integrated marketing campaign across all five southern states, Daggubati will feature in the new commercial for these tyres to be aired across TV and digital platforms. The company has launched the tyres for motorcycles in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, it said. The company has already executed five projects of over 322 MWp in Benban Solar Park in Egypt.</p><p align="justify"><strong>Amara Raja Batteries'</strong> board has approved setting up a greenfield lead acid recycling plant with an estimated capacity of 1 lakh tonnes p.a at a total outlay of Rs 280 crores to be spent over the next 18 months. This will help the company comply with recycling standards whilst adopting advance technology in the most environmentally friendly manner. The company is also setting up a 50MW solar captive power plant in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh at a total outlay of Rs 220 crore to support the sustainability initiatives of the company.</p><p align="justify">Enabling smooth travel and safety of commuters, <strong>ABB India</strong> has provided active front end variable speed drives (VSDs) for the ventilation system of Chennai metro line, a key infrastructure project that connects major areas in the city. The Chennai metro takes the planned urbanization agenda a step forward with the opening of the 9-kmlong extension. The new line will allow passengers to travel from the northern part of the city to Chennai International Airport in the south in around one hour, and will play a key role in easing the road traffic and enhancing public transportation.</p><p align="justify"><strong>Indiabulls Housing Finance</strong> is looking to raise Rs 5,000 crore through the securitisation route in the fourth quarter of the current financial year (Q4FY21). In the three months ended December 31, 2020, the company had raised around Rs 2,000 crore through the route.&nbsp; Overall, in 2020-21, the company has raised a total of Rs 28,119 crore through equity, bank lines, bonds and loan sell-downs.</p><p align="justify"><strong>Titagarh Wagons</strong> (TWL) has been awarded a contract for construction and supply of five Diving Support Craft (DSC) from the Indian Navy. The value of order is about Rs 174.76 crore only. As per the contract, the DSC has to be supplied within 30 months approximately.<br></p>

TVS iQube Electric is equipped with 4.4 kW electric motor and has a maximum speed of 78 kmph and traverses 75 kms in single full charge. It can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 4.2 seconds.</p><p align="justify">The company had earlier launched TVS iQube Electric in Bengaluru in January 2020 and said the vehicle has seen an enthusiastic response from customers despite the pandemic. TVS iQube Electric is a blend of an advanced electric drivetrain and the next-gen TVS SmartXonnect platform. 05-Feb-2021 NLC India, PSP Projects and Bharat Electronics to see some action today <p align="justify"><strong>NLC India</strong> has successfully completed 72 hours of continuous trial operation of 500 MW of Second Unit (Unit 2) of 2 x 500 MW pit head lignite fired Neyveli New Thermal Power Project (NNTPP) at its rated capacity on February 3, 2021. The 500 MW Capacity Lignite fired Boilers of NNTPP are first of its kind in India. The First Unit (Unit 1) was already commissioned and with this, the Power Plant will be fully commissioned. </p><p align="justify"><strong>PSP Projects</strong> has received an additional work order worth Rs 236 crore (induding GST) for an Institutional project at Gujarat. Further, the company has been ranked the L1 bidder (Lowest Bidder) by a regulatory authority for projects totalling to Rs 420.89 crore (including GST) for construction of medical colleges at multiple locations at Uttar Pradesh.</p><p align="justify"><strong>Bharat Electronics</strong> (BEL) has entered into an Offset Contract under invest in kind with Joint Stock Company Rosoboronexport, Russia, for setting up industrial facilities for the manufacture of a wide range of aviation hoses at BEL Optronic Devices, Pune, a subsidiary of BEL.&nbsp; Setting up of industrial facilities under the contract for manufacture of aviation hoses is fully consistent with the Government of India's XMake in India' programme.</p><p align="justify"><strong>TVS Motor Company</strong> has launched its electric scooter TVS iQube Electric in the capital priced at Rs 1,08,012 (post FAME II and Delhi state subsidy). Expected Cost of expansion is Rs 80 crore which would be funded by Debt and Internal accruals. Commencement of commercial production is expected to start in the 4th Quarter of 2021-2022.</p><p align="justify"><strong>Hindustan Aeronautics</strong> (HAL) and MIDHANI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the ongoing Aero India 2021 for development and production of composite raw materials. This is the first time that such an MoU has been signed for composite raw materials. Composites raw materials, mainly in the form of Prepregs used in platforms like LCA, ALH, LCH and LUH are currently imported. </p><p align="justify"><strong>Prataap Snacks'</strong> board has approved acquisition of further 10.48% of paid-up equity share capital of Avadh Snacks (Avadh), the subsidiary, for an aggregate value of Rs 3,300.01 lakh. The aforesaid acquisition is in line with the terms of Share subscription and shareholders agreement and Share purchase agreement executed on August 22, 2018 for initial acquisition of 80% equity share capital of Avadh. At present, the company hold 80% of paid-up equity share capital of Avadh. Post aforesaid acquisition, the holding of the Company in Avadh will increase to 90.48% of paid-up equity share capital.<br></p>

02-Feb-2021 TVS Motor shines as its sales in January 2021 grow by 31% <p align="justify">TVS Motor is currently trading at Rs. 603.00, up by 25.50 points or 4.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 577.50 on the BSE.<p align="justify">The scrip opened at Rs. 583.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 605.80 and Rs. 582.70 respectively. So far 99332 shares were traded on the counter.<p align="justify">The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 606.85 on 2-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 240.10 on 07-Apr-2020.<p align="justify">Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 606.85 and Rs. 520.00 respectively. Scooter sales of the Company grew by 36% registering 98,319 units in January 2021 as against 72,383 units in January 2020.<p align="justify">The Company's total exports grew by 43% registering 100,926 units in the month of January 2021 as against 70,784 units in January 2020. Two-wheeler exports registered a growth of 56% with 89,380 units in January 2021 as against 57,432 units in January 2020, despite scarcity in availability of containers.
