20-Feb-2020 Shoppers Stop closes two stores <p align="justify">Shoppers Stop has closed its two ‘Shoppers Stop' stores located at Orion East Mall, Banaswadi, Bengaluru and The Grant Mall, Velachery, Chennai due to lower than expected business and its low profitability. The sales from Orion East Mall's store for the last financial year 2018-19 was Rs 17.62 crore constituting 0.4% of the turnover of the company as on March 31,2019 and the sales from The Grant Mall's store for the last financial year 2018-19 was Rs 17.36 crore constituting 0.4% of the turnover of the company as on March 31,2019.<br></p><p align="justify">With the closure of above stores, the company has now 89 ‘Shoppers Stop' including 5 airport stores under its operations.&nbsp; <br></p><p align="justify">Shoppers Stop is engaged in the retailing business. 01-Feb-2020 Shoppers Stop reports a net loss of Rs 6.51 crore in Q3FY20 <p align="justify">Shoppers Stop has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2019.<br></p><p align="justify">The company has reported a net loss of Rs 5.22 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net profit of Rs 44.32 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 0.13% at Rs 1000.66 crore for Q3FY20 as compared Rs 1002.00 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.&nbsp;<br></p><p align="justify">On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a net loss of Rs 6.51 crore for the quarter under review as compared to net profit of Rs 41.66 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total&nbsp;income of the company decreased by 0.20% at Rs 1025.53 crore for Q3FY20 as compared Rs 1027.57 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.&nbsp;<br></p>
