Biocon has entered into an agreement for acquisition of 26% equity stake on a fully diluted basis in Hinduja Renewables Two (HRTPL), a special purpose vehicle formed for the purpose of power generation and developing a captive power plant as per Electricity laws. HRTPL was incorporated on September 25, 2020, which will engage in the business of power generation and will develop a 19.77 MW wind power plant (captive) at Raichur District of Karnataka.
Coal India is planning to set up 14 rooftop and ground-mounted solar power projects of 3,000 MW capacity by 2023-24 which will entail an investment of Rs 5,650 crore. The company is mandated by the coal ministry to become a net zero carbon company. Solar power initiative is a part of the company’s diversification plans. The likely investment would be around Rs 5,650 crore. While Rs 3,650 crore is planned to be invested through CIL's capex, till 2023-24, the rest would be met through joint venture models that the company intends to pursue for this initiative.
Ircon International has secured works worth Rs 723 crore by NCRTC. The company has received work order for Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Receiving Sub-Stations and associated works on Viaduct & Tunnel from Sarai Kale Khan to Duhai (EPE) including Jangpura Stabling Yard and Duhai Depot and SCDA system for Complete Corridor of Delhi- Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor of NCRTC for the accepted contract amount of approximately Rs 318 crore. The tenure for execution of works is 50 months.
Exide Industries (EIL) has further invested an amount aggregating to Rs 33.17 crore by way of subscription to the equity share capital of its subsidiary, Exide Leclanche Energy (hereinafter referred as 'JVC') to meet the funding requirement, particularly the Capital Expenditure projects of JVC. With the said investment, the equity shareholding of EIL in JVC stands increased from 77.87% to 80.15% of the total paid-up share capital.

Jubilant Industries has executed an agreement to sell for transfer of portable liquor license of the company for manufacturing of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) (License) on November 23, 2020 (Agreement to Sell). The transfer of the License is subject to certain conditions as set out in the Agreement to Sell. Consequent to the transfer of the License, the company shall no longer be manufacturing Indian Made Foreign Liquor.
