Schaeffler India has resumed operations at Savli plant in Vadodara. The operation in the plant situated in GIDC park resumed post government approval and following all safety norms directed by the MHA. In addition, partial movement of goods have started from warehouses in Vadodara and Chennai, following strict safety protocols.

In line with government directives, the company has extended the closure of plants across Talegaon, Maneja, and Hosur up to May 3, 2020. However, the plants are prepared to resume operations in case of an early approval or relaxations granted by the government. The company has developed a detailed operating procedure to ensure safety and hygiene across plants and offices. These policies will remain in place till further notice.

Ashok Leyland has in tranches, acquired 1,57,96,406 shares of Rs 10 each, constituting 3.36% of the paid-up equity share capital of Hinduja Leyland Finance (HLFL), a subsidiary of the company. Consequent to the aforesaid acquisition, the company's shareholding in HLFL stands increased from 65.45% to 68.81%. The aforesaid acquisition is part of the 6.99% acquisition approved by the Board at the meeting held on March 21, 2020.

Vodafone Idea and Paytm, a digital payments and financial services platform, have launched ‘Recharge Saathi’ programme which helps individuals and small businesses to earn an additional income. The programme will enable any Paytm customers (following a registration) to start selling Vodafone and Idea recharges on Paytm app. They can start selling mobile recharges by downloading and registering on the Paytm app. Vodafone Idea will also give an assured cashback to merchant partners for multiple recharges.

Tata Consultancy Services’ (TCS) strategic unit-- TCS iON is offering access to the TCS iON Digital Glass Room, a virtual learning platform, free of cost to educational institutions in the US until March 31, 2021, in the wake of COVID-19 and closure of schools and colleges.
