REC has raised $650 million (Rs 4,450 crore) by issuing five-year REG S bonds in the international market under its global medium term programme of $5 billion. The proceeds will be used to finance power projects in accordance with the approvals granted by the RBI from time to time and in accordance with the ECB (external commercial borrowing) Guidelines. The five-year REG S Bond has a semi-annual coupon rate of 3.375 per cent per annum and a maturity date of July 25, 2024.

The transaction saw an oversubscription of more than four times with active participation from more than 140 major international investor accounts, allowing it to price inside its current market levels with the tightest coupon ever on its five-year bond.

REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric co-operatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.

IFCI is expecting to mobilise Rs 1,500-2,000 crore from sale of non-core assets, including its stake in the National Stock Exchange (NSE), during the current fiscal to fund business growth. Besides, the company is looking at recovery of bad loans under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.

IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals has made the pre-payment of term loan of Rs 15.39 crore due to banks in addition to regular repayment schedule. Thus the company made the pre-payment of term loan of aggregate amount of Rs 84.18 crore till date to reduce the debt of the company.

REC has launched an issue of $650 million, 3.375% Notes due 2024, priced on July 18, 2019. The Notes will mature on July 25, 2024 and all principal and interest payments will be made in US Dollars. The settlement date for the Notes is expected to be July 25, 2019.

Bhumika Group has signed an agreement with Shoppers Stop for its Mall Urban Square at Udaipur. HDFC Bank has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2019. The Bank has reported 21.01% rise in its net profit at Rs 5,568.16 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 4,601.44 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income of the Bank increased by 22.74% at Rs 32,361.84 crore for Q1FY20 as compared Rs 26,367.04 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. On consolidate basis, the Bank has reported 18.06% rise in its net profit at Rs 5,690.80 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2019 as compared to Rs 4,820.13 crore for the corresponding quarter in the FY19. Total consolidated income of the Bank increased by 22.59% at Rs 34,324.45 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 28,000.06 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.
