Financial Sector

  • HDFC Bank said it has mobilised ₹3,000 crore from bonds to fund business growth. The bank issued and allotted bonds to investors on a private placement basis on Thursday, HDFC Bank said in a regulatory filing. These unsecured, subordinated, fully paid-up, non-convertible, Basel III compliant perpetual debt would carry a coupon rate of 7.84%
  • Kotak Mutual Fund launches an open-ended Kotak Business Cycle Fund
  • Five local banks including State Bank of India and ICICI Bank are in talks with Singapore’s DBS Bank to begin a real-time remittance system with the city-state using the ubiquitous Unified Payments Interface (UPI) as the backbone.
  • Bajaj Finserv reports of group firm Bajaj Allianz’s August gross direct premium underwritten is down 59 percent on a month-on-month (MoM) basis. Bajaj Allianz General Insurance is a joint venture between Allianz SE and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.
